FIRST TUTORS If for whatever reason you need private tuition it's important to be sure that you can get in touch with the right kind of experienced teacher. This company is recommended by the Good School Guide and seems to be very fair.
SKY LEARNING An excellent new GCSE and A-level web site that has revision help for many subjects. Well worth a visit.
REVISION WORLD A new site (2007), still in development, that aims to provide the best revision resources for GCSE and A-level on the Internet! Give it a try!
UNIVERSAL TEACHERA fantastic revision site; it offers help with a wide variety of aspects of English and English Literature, including several study guides to novels and poems. Perhaps better suited to the more able student.

CONVERSE

Innovative, stimulating and fun resources for GCSE and A-level English. Resources include articles and interactive games and - if you're a teacher! - a full handbook.


BBC BITESIZE
Too well known to need an introduction, this excellent site is aimed at students of all abilities, but is perhaps more suited to those who need more basic advice than is offered by the above two sites.

SPARKNOTES
A fine American web site with free study guides to many novels, plays and poems. The guides are aimed at a level somewhat beyond GCSE, but are still very useful and well written.
MEDIAEDU A great place to visit if you need help with Media Studies homework and exam revision: KS3, 4 and A-level.
