What is Englishbiz?
Englishbiz is for you and it's free (and totally ad-free!). It's an educational website, written by an experienced English teacher. It's composed of several web pages that provide updated help for your English and English Literature GCSEs and iGCSEs. The focus here is not on individual texts, but on the skills you need to write well and to be able to analyse texts and write effective essays.

If you need help with understanding an individual text, rather than with how to analyse and write about texts like it in an essay, then you could try looking here or here.

The content of each Englishbiz web page has been carefully researched to help you with the skills you need to write well. Englishbiz will help you with all of your school English writing, whether it's a creative piece such as a story or a persuasive article, or an essay based on, for example, a non-fiction or media texts as well as essays based on literary texts such as poems, plays and stories.

To keep pages concise, some key terms are 'hyperlinked' and appear underlined in bold and blue. Clicking on these links will open a new web page or mini pop-up box that will give you the extra detail or depth you need , but only if you need it.
